Dr. Suyamto Hardjosuwirjo
Director, Indonesian Center for Food Crops Research and Development (ICFORD)
Prof. Suyamto Hardjosuwirjo got his Bachelor from the Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta (1978) majoring Soil Science. In 1986, he completed his study in the same University and got his Doctoral Degree majoring Soil Science. His first duty in IAARD was as Research Coordinator at Indonesian Crops Research Institute, Sukarami, and at the same time as Winrock Expert Counterpart on Research Management.
At this time, he is the Director of the Indonesian Center for Food Crops Research and Development since November 2005. Before that, he carried out many tasks, such as, the Director of Indonesian Center for Horticulture Research and Development (March 2004 - November 2005), Head of the Indonesian Legume and Tuber Crops Research Institute (1995 - 1998), the Head of East Java Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology (1998 - 2004).
He reached the Senior Researcher level on Soil Science in 1999, and achieved Research Professor in 2006.
