The rainfall patterns in Indonesia vary greatly, especially between the northern and southern regions of the equator. Information concerning the rain-fall patterns in relation to cropping pat-terns of annual crops as food crops, Atlas of Agroclimate Resources in Indonesia has been delineated which contains the maps of rainfall regions at the scale of 1:1,000,000 based on the data of rainfalls in the last 10 – 30 years period from the climate stations within and outside the Agency of Agricultural Research and De-velopment, both manual and automatic all over Indonesia. This atlas presents recommendation of cropping pattern for annual food crops such as paddy and the secondary crops in dry season in each region. This atlas can be used as a refe-rence for cropping pattern in a certain region to minimize the agricultural risks as crop failure.
