ICOPRI is one of the technical implementation unit on coconut crops and other palm R&D under the coordination of Indonesian Center for Estate Crops Research and Development (ICECRD). The main function of ICOPRI is to conduct :

  • research on genetics, plant breeding, seed production of coconut crops and other palm,
  • research on exploration, conservation, characterization and the utilization of germplasm of coconut crops and other palm,
  • research on agronomy, morphology, physiology, ecology, entomology and phytopathology of coconut crops and other palm,
  • research on technology component system of coconut crops and other palm agribusiness,
  • preparation on corporation, information, documentation, and dissemination of coconut crops and other palm resulted technology.

The research is mainly focused on : coconut, sugar palm, sagoo.

ICOPRI coordinated by Indonesian Center for Estate Crops Research and Development
