ISICRI is one of the technical implementation unit on spices and industrial crops R&D under the coordination of Indonesian Center for Estate Crops Research and Development (ICECRD). The main function of ISICRI is to carry out :

research on genetics, plant breeding, seed production of spices and industrial crops.
research on exploration, conservation, characterization and the utilization of germplasm of spices and industrial crops.
research on agronomy, morphology, physiology, ecology, entomology and phytopathology of spices and industrial crops.
research on technology component system of spices and industrial crops agribusiness.
